New 64bits installer on 32-Bit and 64-Bit Windows

For 32 Bit machines

Our new game installer has been upgraded to the 64bits architecture.

Microsoft has officially ended support for the old 32bit architecture years ago. As we add new updates, the game installer gets bigger in size.
To ensure we don't have issues in the future due to file size limitations of 32bit architecture, we have upgraded our installer to 64bits.

The game still runs in 32bits. If you want to play on a 32bits machine, simply extract the game files from the installer using Winrar (https://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x32-611.exe) or 7zip (https://7-zip.org/a/7z2409.exe). Right click and select extract in your preferred folder.

For 64 bit machines
-----------------------------------
The installer may give you some errors if you don't have an updated Windows or Direct X.

If you get errors of missing d3dx9_xx.dll or VCRUNTIME dll files then download and install these.

DirectX: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Microsoft VC Redist:
64bit https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
32bit https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

Install Both

After installing these, restart your PC and try the installer again.

Unpacking Error
----------------------

If you get the Unpacking Error: Make sure the install directory on your PC has English Characters only.
If the issue persists, re-download the game installer, it may be corrupted.

If everything else fails: You have the option to extract the game files from the installer using using Winrar (https://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-713.exe) or 7zip (https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z2501-x64.exe) if everything else fails.

Please share more details, OS 32bit or 64Bit? Are you trying to isntall or extracing the files using Winrar? Did you install what I suggested on the main post? Share screenshots.

Windows 7 is no longer supported for a while now. You should upgrade to Windows 10.

I suppose it would be more helpfull to get link to the Direct X redist 'installer' directly:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=35

the link you have provided above is only to the redist files itself and those need manual instalation within windows system directories.
Just thought the instaler might be less confusing for most ppl :)

They didn't work. I tried installing to D drive. Worked. There are non-English characters in my username, maybe it didn't work from it in C drive. But there was no problem with the old client.

Thank you but new problem. I am running Launcher. It opens and PLAY appears. Press PLAY and it stays that way, no movement.

Could you restart your PC and try again. Also add the Origin Online folder to your antivirus exception list.

Hello,

You can go to C:\Program Files\Origin Online - Genesis\ and delete this file. If you have already uninstalled the game, the folder will be empty. Since you are trying to create the same file, installer is not allowed to create a folder with the same name.

You were able to install it to D: (or simply any other folder) because there wasn't any folder naed "Origin Online - Genesis".

that is really sad gm. i can't play the game anymore then...
i mean isn't there a way to make it happen for win 7 again? Even games like League of Legends still supp Win7 and they made tons of money.

If the game worked for you before the new installer, it should work now. But we do not offer support for problems with Windows 7.

Install Winrar (https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) or 7zip (https://www.7-zip.org/download.html) then right click on the installer and extract the game files manually on the directory of your choice.

i installed the game on a new laptop windows 10 with the directx and vc you posted but shortly after i start walking the game goes black and unresponsive.
it's an intel integrated graphics card.
if i leave it for a while on the char select it seems ok

The game will make a stop at login, just click on the screen and it should be fine.

i removed some intel power save setting for the gpu driver. updated it and it seems stable now. only crashed once when entering jangan xD

that wasn't it but i just wanted to say that after disabling an intel graphic driver power setting, the game started working ok. i just had 1 crash in jangan in case it helps anyone
