View Full Version : Money sink to prevent over-inflation

Hi guys,

One of the major problems which comes with any increase in rates is that there's some imbalance elsewhere. This is obviously a real challenge for players and very clearly exists on this server (ex: weapon elixirs are breaching selling up to 4m and many people already asking for more).

I've seen this done in other games such as world of warcraft where money gains are reduced in some way.

My thoughts:
I saw it said somewhere that you've halved 9D sale prices, this is a good start.
I would recommend applying the same change to 8D items as the drop rates are fairly high and sale prices are quite high and this is a major grind tier for players.

It would also be great if there was some NPC which sells very high value items that do not affect game balance.
The arena already has a mechanic for this but an alternative could help to further the reduction of circulating gold.

Items such as:
* Stall Avatars (lets face it, no one buys those for silk :D)
* Scrolls that change you into a random mob for a short while (disable skill usage to make sure it's purely cosmetic)
* Lvl 1 sos weapons for something like 20m to help you feel like a Mangyang God if leveling a new character (and lets you look cool in town).
* Monster summon/pandora summon scrolls for very high prices to ensure people can't farm these. I'm not sure what the best price for this would be but i'd imagine 50m sounds reasonable.

Any other suggestions from anyone else would be appreciated but remember the financial cost has to make no sense for the purchaser if they're looking to gain something out of it.

I agree with Vais that the prices are going crazy. The wep elixirs were max 2.5mil 1 month ago, now they can be sold for 4.5mil.
Same thing is happening with other elixirs, which make us who don't pay to win (buy silks and sell in game) suffer a great deal compared to others.

I think the Weapon elixirs prices are justified, the server is based on hand grinding and everyone needs the elixirs so its pretty much supply and demand.

Easiest way to solve inflation is to sell elixirs by gold and not require arena coins :P that way they will have a fix price and not go up pike crazy everyday.

Missed this reply but I actually agree.

Having Elixirs for sale at a certain price with just gold would cap the amount of inflation elixirs can experience. So for example if Weapon elixirs are going to be 4m, people will want to undercut that to sell otherwise people will just buy from NPC.

All the best,
