Can't attack while doing 1 star trade ?

Hello Origin community :)
I came back to the game and started a 1 star trade. But unfortunately I can't use any of my skills so I can't even kill the thieves mobs attacking my horse.
Is that a bug ?

That's intended. You cant attack at all in 1 star trades.

But, how am I supposed to get rid of all the thieves NPC then ? And what about monsters attacking me ?

You can't. Hire a hunter or go 2 stars or above if you want more action.
