Proof for the "FindMe" Event

Hey guys,

the find me event by JameZsan was today and the person who won solved this riddle:
2860 = (M+M+M+L+I+X1/2)*130
The solution is that you cut the roman numerals in half so you get (V+V+V+I+I+V) and this solves the equation.
BUT
if you cut M in half you actually dont get V.

Yeh I see what you mean when you simply put it like that.

But let me get it straight, we're upset that someone in the game is using their own money to host a little made up event, where he also told everyone in the beginning "it was his silk and he could do whatever he wanted with it". He also said it was gonna be as hard as he wanted it to be. I just want to get that right.
