There are several different instance dungeons called "Forgotten World" also referred to as FGW.
These are group activities that have special drops that can be collected for rewards.
In order to create the instance you will need to purchase a dimension hole from the grocery trader in each town.
For this guide i will be referencing the Level 81-90 FGW "Flame Mountain".
The quest for this instance can be obtained once you are lvl 81 from Origin events npc in Lost City.
The reward for this quest is a 9DG SOM weapon of your choice!
~~!! The Rewards are restricted to the race of the character that claims the reward. !!~~
(This means euro weapons for euro characters and ch weapons for ch chars)
These dungeons can be very difficult if you do not know what to expect and are undergeared so tread with caution and try to find players who have done it before to guide you!
What do i need to complete the FGW??
There is no exact formula for what you need to complete the challenge! To complete this challenge you will need Teamwork above all else!
European characters have a distinct advantadge in this dungeon but Chineese can definitely replace them and even compete for best in spot for a party.
You will need different things depending on your team but at least 4 players is recommended unless you are a real pro in which case this guide might be useless :P
A pain is the bare minimum. The monsters in this instance can easily 1 shot even pure str chars who dont have good gear and even with good gear you cannot fight more then 1 mob without risk of dying. Therefore having pain on the main tank is necessary. In advanced parties when the Wizard or int chineese has decent gear they can effectively tank the mobs with proper party buffs and support. The ideal party would not use a pure str for actualy tanking but rather just to bring the mobs closer together so the wizard can do maximum aoe damage!
Warrior buffs are desirable if not essential for most parties. A designated cleric is also very important! in advanced parties you can have 1 player switch from wizard to cleric to use healing orbit but this strategy is both risky and puts more pressure on the player to be in proper positioning and always watching players for debuffs and things. (NOT RECOMMENDED)
**Bless spell is a useful tool but is not essential in advanced pts, although it is a way to make dangerous areas safer.**
***Advanced parties can use less ppl to complete the challenge but it is preferred to have 8 ppl for maximum dmg and the more ppl in the party the more effective hp you have. ***
Everyone is FINALY logged in and ready to go!
Ok! Before you get started make sure everyone has potions and pill especially purification pills! The enemies can use debuffs like dull and weaken. :O
If a party member has weaken or decay debuff while tanking these powerfull mobs the dmg might kill the warrior or wizards through pain!! You must cleanse debuffs as soon as they happen so make sure your cleric has had their coffee -.-...
Now it is time to open the portal and use the shrine with the impossibly big hitbox to summon your party members! only the party leader can do this so make sure they are the one who opens the portal!! Once everyone is in make sure you apply all buffs to each other and make sure to keep the same ppl buffed the entire time you are in the dungeon!! no excuses!!
It is not uncommon for a wall of powerful mobs to "Suddenly Appear" out of thin air and if you are not properly buffed you might die!
The Challenge!!

This is the challenge that lies before you!
*****Remember to always keep a safe distance between other players!!*****
Let me take a second to explain a basic mechanic that even veteran players can underestimate! This will save you a lot of time and effort!
"Pain Quota" and "Immortal Victor" are 2 very powerful skills. But with great power comes great responsibility! These skills can give you the impression that you are invincible but please restrain yourself. The mobs in this instance can deal very powerful "nuke" abilities that deal area of effect damage. These nukes can deal upwards or 30k damage to a single target when they do not have pain on them. keep this in mind since pain does not just eliminate the dmg, it disperses it to the party. So the 60% that gets "reduced" from the target gets dispersed on the party. The more ppl in the party the less each will take because the damage is dispersed evenly among the party not including the source of the pain dmg. In this case 18k dmg goes to the party and 12k dmg goes to the target of the skill. But wait! These skills have aoe dmg like a wizard skill :O so if more then 1 person is standing in the area of effect then the dmg gets essentially doubled! (not quite because the targets afterward get somewhat reduced dmg) therefore the 30k dmg turns into ~50k or ~60-65k depending how many ppl get hit by the skill. This is just 1 hit from 1 mob and in this instance mobs can easily be in packs of 8+ mobs. Lets take a second to calculate the total damage the party could potentially take in ~1 second if there are say 3 ppl taking damage from the same mob x8 mobs. 65k x8 = 520k damage!!!! even if your whole party were pure str warriors using vital increase with full blue t3 gear you cannot survive the dmg!!!! just let that sink in for a sec... 8 x 42k hp (Warrior FB t3 with ds+6 and buffs from cleric somehow) = 336k lets say 400k effective hp in a second with healing orbit and rec div... you would all be dead... So remember Stay a good distance from the tank and other dps! and make sure the cleric and buffers and close by! you could die from pain damage if you dont get healing orbit in time.. :( The challenge is staying close enough together to keep orbit/bless/warrior buffs but far enough to not transfer damage.
Thnx for reading that part, phew its over :).. now some basic tips for smooth runs. Slower = Faster. Often for less coordinated teams you want to take your time and concentrate on not dying. Dying is by far the biggest waste of time you can experience! (even missing a mob before a envy isnt as bad most of the time ;) ) Let the tank aquire the targets before you engage with dps and make sure you don't start walking in front of the tank, sometimes the mobs just *poof* appear in front of you and kill the dps xD... not cool. Having 2 bards makes the whole thing easier because of the reduced damage from the tambours and increased damage they can provide with their dances they make runs significantly easier and quicker! In the quickest runs bring 2 warriors so they can pain each other and lure mobs throughout the rooms so you spend less time in each room. Zerks should be used on small mobs! This is a small tip that will help out a lot of parties make faster runs! when you have say 3-4 90 int attackers in the party it is preferable for them to zerk basically as soon as they get it. Make sure you have all your buffs before you go all Blo0d and run way past the first mobs where the bless wont reach you.. or Nuke who goes in without pain on a pure int... :O.. sry these guys drive me crazy some times but dw i <3 them!!
**You have 2 hours to complete the challenge**
Once a portal is opened the person who opened it cannot open another within 5 hours unless they purchase a FGW reset scroll in the item mall.
Once you have accepted to be summoned you will also have the same cooldown on your character. You may still rejoin the instance if you dc or go to town if the pt leader summons you again even if the cooldown appears in the top left corner. Sometimes after completing the challenge and exiting through the exit portal at the end of the dungeon you will not have the cooldown displayed in the buff bar. This is either some sort of bug or there is a criteria to meet for it to not apply. Whatever the case you will have to change party leader as the one who opened the portal originally will still not be able top open another portal within the 5 hour period. I am not 100% sure of how this mechanic or bug works but if it is not intended then.... sup Simplicity! xD
The Mobs
Flame Salamander

These pesky lizards attack with both physical and magical damage! On top of that they can apply a debuff called Weaken.
This debuff increases the magic damage received by about 30%! Their magic attack also deals AOE damage so stay away from each other always.
Although they have a the debuff if you treat it right away with integrity or purification pill it wont be a problem. also the chance to apply is pretty low and they dont always attack with magic so even with the debuff you shouldnt be too worried. There is 1 spot where about 12 of them spawn so be careful!
Flame Giant

These big guys pack a nasty punch! Also they have very wide aoe attack ground slam. To add to this they can put Division status which reduces your magic and phys def!! AND!! They usually hang out in big groups... Talk about a big pain in the butt.. Have your cleric healing and debuffing all the time! also make sure you maintain space between ppl who are taking hits! These guys can sometimes use a aoe attack from afar that hits everything it travels through so if he switches agro to someone in the backline it might hit 3-4 ppl! Watch out! be careful with these guys.

Flame Ghost

These mobs have 2 debuffs they can apply! 1 is decay and the other is combustion. Decay makes you take 30% increased phys dmg. Combustion reduces effectiveness of mp pots to almost 0.. this is bad for wizs or any party without pills and a cleric.. :) these guys usualy attack with a small aoe phys melee attack. they also have a small aoe ranged attack. be careful as always but these guys aren't so bad.. still nobody likes Sneks..

These guys are very strong! Do not underestimate them ever! They may not have any debuffs but do not let that fool you they are more then capable opponents. They have a combo attack that isnt too deadly but they also have a strong bow type attack that does excellent damage and most likely has a high crit modifier cuz these guys hurt!

These little guys dont seem like much and to be honest they rarely give any troubles...
just keep a distance as they have a small range cleave aoe. aside from that nothing special..

These guys are thick and for good reason they may be binge drinkers and maybe they spent a few too many hours at an all you can eat but dont let their plumb shapes fool you these guys hit really hard! They have a flame breath attack that does big damage in a cone in front of them that has decent range so stay away. Also they have a aoe explosion type attack that also does big dmg but in a big circle around them. be very careful these guys are strong!

Be very careful! Whenever you see these guys its a very good idea to use Bless! Also these guys have a HUGE aoe bomb attack from range that deals HUGE damage!
If at any point you have not felt it necessary to bless this is most likely the mob you will bless against. They do not apply any debuffs but the size and dmg numbers of their skills are pretty crazy :( they can kill almost any pt if 2 ppl take more then 5 attacks at a time! Watch out!!

Be careful! These are the other big hitters of the fgw! Gigantes are seriously no joke! These big red boulders shoot their arms out in a missle in front of them. This attack is powerful and does dmg in a very big line so be far from the tank if you can help it! also they have a few other attack all of which are aoe. I think there seems to be a pattern here... something with aoe??... oh yeah STAY AWAY FROM EACHOTHER!!! AND!!! they have a debuf -.- so yeah even less fun!

***NOTES***
*I will not go into details about the boss because if you can deal with all the mobs in the instance then the bosses will be ez pz. also it would ruin the surprise..
*Also the treasure boxes and the Last unique "Flame Cow King" have the chance to drop talismans! There are no secret strats or anything like that for drops its all just RNG. My tip to you is just make sure everyone has turned their pets off and make sure you discuss what will happen way before you get to the box. once you get to the box it is not the time to be discussing who gets what it should already be established before hand. my team always runs the same team pretty much so we have the luxury or sharing Talismans and therefore there is no confusion. But you must beware of random groups. they might kick you out of the pt near the box and there is nothing you can do sadly besides spam globals and hope others dont fall for it. If you want a Talisman to go to a certain person the most secure way to do it is have everyone else leave the area until they are no longer in item distribution range. (pain will be removed at this range) this way it goes to that person 100% of the time^^
*Also make sure everyone has their pick up pets set to off. this is very very important to avoid people getting screwed over with cards and make you look like a dick.
*try to arrange something for breaking the boxes that everyone can agree with.. its not cool to just blow it up without talking it over with the team.. if they have some sort of ritual who are you to ruin their fun?
****The SOM shield that can drop from the last boss is untradeable****
This means once it is picked up it is bound to that account! make sure you talk over who is to get what shield before you get into a run. I've seen ppl lose a ch shield because it went to someone who plays only euro beacuse someone didnt listen and picked it up in a rush. DONT BE THAT GUY!

There are several different instance dungeons called "Forgotten World" also referred to as FGW.
These are group activities that have special drops that can be collected for rewards.
In order to create the instance you will need to purchase a dimension hole from the grocery trader in each town.
For this guide i will be referencing the Level 81-90 FGW "Flame Mountain".
The quest for this instance can be obtained once you are lvl 81 from Origin events npc in Lost City.
The reward for this quest is a 9DG SOM weapon of your choice!
~~!! The Rewards are restricted to the race of the character that claims the reward. !!~~
(This means euro weapons for euro characters and ch weapons for ch chars)
These dungeons can be very difficult if you do not know what to expect and are undergeared so tread with caution and try to find players who have done it before to guide you!
What do i need to complete the FGW??
There is no exact formula for what you need to complete the challenge! To complete this challenge you will need Teamwork above all else!
European characters have a distinct advantadge in this dungeon but Chineese can definitely replace them and even compete for best in spot for a party.
You will need different things depending on your team but at least 4 players is recommended unless you are a real pro in which case this guide might be useless :P
A pain is the bare minimum. The monsters in this instance can easily 1 shot even pure str chars who dont have good gear and even with good gear you cannot fight more then 1 mob without risk of dying. Therefore having pain on the main tank is necessary. In advanced parties when the Wizard or int chineese has decent gear they can effectively tank the mobs with proper party buffs and support. The ideal party would not use a pure str for actualy tanking but rather just to bring the mobs closer together so the wizard can do maximum aoe damage!
Warrior buffs are desirable if not essential for most parties. A designated cleric is also very important! in advanced parties you can have 1 player switch from wizard to cleric to use healing orbit but this strategy is both risky and puts more pressure on the player to be in proper positioning and always watching players for debuffs and things. (NOT RECOMMENDED)
**Bless spell is a useful tool but is not essential in advanced pts, although it is a way to make dangerous areas safer.**
***Advanced parties can use less ppl to complete the challenge but it is preferred to have 8 ppl for maximum dmg and the more ppl in the party the more effective hp you have. ***
Everyone is FINALY logged in and ready to go!
Ok! Before you get started make sure everyone has potions and pill especially purification pills! The enemies can use debuffs like dull and weaken. :O
If a party member has weaken or decay debuff while tanking these powerfull mobs the dmg might kill the warrior or wizards through pain!! You must cleanse debuffs as soon as they happen so make sure your cleric has had their coffee -.-...
Now it is time to open the portal and use the shrine with the impossibly big hitbox to summon your party members! only the party leader can do this so make sure they are the one who opens the portal!! Once everyone is in make sure you apply all buffs to each other and make sure to keep the same ppl buffed the entire time you are in the dungeon!! no excuses!!
It is not uncommon for a wall of powerful mobs to "Suddenly Appear" out of thin air and if you are not properly buffed you might die!

This is the challenge that lies before you!
*****Remember to always keep a safe distance between other players!!*****
Let me take a second to explain a basic mechanic that even veteran players can underestimate! This will save you a lot of time and effort!
"Pain Quota" and "Immortal Victor" are 2 very powerful skills. But with great power comes great responsibility! These skills can give you the impression that you are invincible but please restrain yourself. The mobs in this instance can deal very powerful "nuke" abilities that deal area of effect damage. These nukes can deal upwards or 30k damage to a single target when they do not have pain on them. keep this in mind since pain does not just eliminate the dmg, it disperses it to the party. So the 60% that gets "reduced" from the target gets dispersed on the party. The more ppl in the party the less each will take because the damage is dispersed evenly among the party not including the source of the pain dmg. In this case 18k dmg goes to the party and 12k dmg goes to the target of the skill. But wait! These skills have aoe dmg like a wizard skill :O so if more then 1 person is standing in the area of effect then the dmg gets essentially doubled! (not quite because the targets afterward get somewhat reduced dmg) therefore the 30k dmg turns into ~50k or ~60-65k depending how many ppl get hit by the skill. This is just 1 hit from 1 mob and in this instance mobs can easily be in packs of 8+ mobs. Lets take a second to calculate the total damage the party could potentially take in ~1 second if there are say 3 ppl taking damage from the same mob x8 mobs. 65k x8 = 520k damage!!!! even if your whole party were pure str warriors using vital increase with full blue t3 gear you cannot survive the dmg!!!! just let that sink in for a sec... 8 x 42k hp (Warrior FB t3 with ds+6 and buffs from cleric somehow) = 336k lets say 400k effective hp in a second with healing orbit and rec div... you would all be dead... So remember Stay a good distance from the tank and other dps! and make sure the cleric and buffers and close by! you could die from pain damage if you dont get healing orbit in time.. :( The challenge is staying close enough together to keep orbit/bless/warrior buffs but far enough to not transfer damage.
Thnx for reading that part, phew its over :).. now some basic tips for smooth runs. Slower = Faster. Often for less coordinated teams you want to take your time and concentrate on not dying. Dying is by far the biggest waste of time you can experience! (even missing a mob before a envy isnt as bad most of the time ;) ) Let the tank aquire the targets before you engage with dps and make sure you don't start walking in front of the tank, sometimes the mobs just *poof* appear in front of you and kill the dps xD... not cool. Having 2 bards makes the whole thing easier because of the reduced damage from the tambours and increased damage they can provide with their dances they make runs significantly easier and quicker! In the quickest runs bring 2 warriors so they can pain each other and lure mobs throughout the rooms so you spend less time in each room. Zerks should be used on small mobs! This is a small tip that will help out a lot of parties make faster runs! when you have say 3-4 90 int attackers in the party it is preferable for them to zerk basically as soon as they get it. Make sure you have all your buffs before you go all Blo0d and run way past the first mobs where the bless wont reach you.. or Nuke who goes in without pain on a pure int... :O.. sry these guys drive me crazy some times but dw i <3 them!!
**You have 2 hours to complete the challenge**
Once a portal is opened the person who opened it cannot open another within 5 hours unless they purchase a FGW reset scroll in the item mall.
Once you have accepted to be summoned you will also have the same cooldown on your character. You may still rejoin the instance if you dc or go to town if the pt leader summons you again even if the cooldown appears in the top left corner. Sometimes after completing the challenge and exiting through the exit portal at the end of the dungeon you will not have the cooldown displayed in the buff bar. This is either some sort of bug or there is a criteria to meet for it to not apply. Whatever the case you will have to change party leader as the one who opened the portal originally will still not be able top open another portal within the 5 hour period. I am not 100% sure of how this mechanic or bug works but if it is not intended then.... sup Simplicity! xD
The Mobs
Flame Salamander

These pesky lizards attack with both physical and magical damage! On top of that they can apply a debuff called Weaken.
This debuff increases the magic damage received by about 30%! Their magic attack also deals AOE damage so stay away from each other always.
Although they have a the debuff if you treat it right away with integrity or purification pill it wont be a problem. also the chance to apply is pretty low and they dont always attack with magic so even with the debuff you shouldnt be too worried. There is 1 spot where about 12 of them spawn so be careful!
Flame Giant

These big guys pack a nasty punch! Also they have very wide aoe attack ground slam. To add to this they can put Division status which reduces your magic and phys def!! AND!! They usually hang out in big groups... Talk about a big pain in the butt.. Have your cleric healing and debuffing all the time! also make sure you maintain space between ppl who are taking hits! These guys can sometimes use a aoe attack from afar that hits everything it travels through so if he switches agro to someone in the backline it might hit 3-4 ppl! Watch out! be careful with these guys.

These mobs have 2 debuffs they can apply! 1 is decay and the other is combustion. Decay makes you take 30% increased phys dmg. Combustion reduces effectiveness of mp pots to almost 0.. this is bad for wizs or any party without pills and a cleric.. :) these guys usualy attack with a small aoe phys melee attack. they also have a small aoe ranged attack. be careful as always but these guys aren't so bad.. still nobody likes Sneks..

These guys are very strong! Do not underestimate them ever! They may not have any debuffs but do not let that fool you they are more then capable opponents. They have a combo attack that isnt too deadly but they also have a strong bow type attack that does excellent damage and most likely has a high crit modifier cuz these guys hurt!

These little guys dont seem like much and to be honest they rarely give any troubles...
just keep a distance as they have a small range cleave aoe. aside from that nothing special..

These guys are thick and for good reason they may be binge drinkers and maybe they spent a few too many hours at an all you can eat but dont let their plumb shapes fool you these guys hit really hard! They have a flame breath attack that does big damage in a cone in front of them that has decent range so stay away. Also they have a aoe explosion type attack that also does big dmg but in a big circle around them. be very careful these guys are strong!

Be very careful! Whenever you see these guys its a very good idea to use Bless! Also these guys have a HUGE aoe bomb attack from range that deals HUGE damage!
If at any point you have not felt it necessary to bless this is most likely the mob you will bless against. They do not apply any debuffs but the size and dmg numbers of their skills are pretty crazy :( they can kill almost any pt if 2 ppl take more then 5 attacks at a time! Watch out!!

Be careful! These are the other big hitters of the fgw! Gigantes are seriously no joke! These big red boulders shoot their arms out in a missle in front of them. This attack is powerful and does dmg in a very big line so be far from the tank if you can help it! also they have a few other attack all of which are aoe. I think there seems to be a pattern here... something with aoe??... oh yeah STAY AWAY FROM EACHOTHER!!! AND!!! they have a debuf -.- so yeah even less fun!

***NOTES***
*I will not go into details about the boss because if you can deal with all the mobs in the instance then the bosses will be ez pz. also it would ruin the surprise..
*Also the treasure boxes and the Last unique "Flame Cow King" have the chance to drop talismans! There are no secret strats or anything like that for drops its all just RNG. My tip to you is just make sure everyone has turned their pets off and make sure you discuss what will happen way before you get to the box. once you get to the box it is not the time to be discussing who gets what it should already be established before hand. my team always runs the same team pretty much so we have the luxury or sharing Talismans and therefore there is no confusion. But you must beware of random groups. they might kick you out of the pt near the box and there is nothing you can do sadly besides spam globals and hope others dont fall for it. If you want a Talisman to go to a certain person the most secure way to do it is have everyone else leave the area until they are no longer in item distribution range. (pain will be removed at this range) this way it goes to that person 100% of the time^^
*Also make sure everyone has their pick up pets set to off. this is very very important to avoid people getting screwed over with cards and make you look like a dick.
*try to arrange something for breaking the boxes that everyone can agree with.. its not cool to just blow it up without talking it over with the team.. if they have some sort of ritual who are you to ruin their fun?
****The SOM shield that can drop from the last boss is untradeable****
This means once it is picked up it is bound to that account! make sure you talk over who is to get what shield before you get into a run. I've seen ppl lose a ch shield because it went to someone who plays only euro beacuse someone didnt listen and picked it up in a rush. DONT BE THAT GUY!

And i would like to give a big shout out to the devs and everyone who puts a lot of time and effort into this game! without you we wouldnt be here and i never would have all these items i have... in isro i never botted so i was never able to get to cap let alone som+10 at cap with just hand grind and hard work! Ty GM Simplicity for being active in the forums and for being strict. I know not everyone can appreciate it but we need strong ppl to make sure bots and exploiters dont ruin the experience! Ty also other origin staff for the hard work on the server! Origin is the best game ever!!!
