antivirus warnings and trojan detection

My main question is to administrators, could you please explain me some things?


1) why is needed to exclude origin from antivirus? as antivir warn us that this files could be dangerous and delete/quarantine them. Additionally windows defender warn us about incorrect file signature.
2) virustotal check for launcher.exe doesn't look good, many checks warn us about trojan/malware.
3) when Origin client is running it keeps trying (every few seconds) to access antivirus process.

I've spent some time in game here and really like it, but the above is worrying me.

Hello,

The game client files are heavily protected (Packed) from modification. This triggers some antivirus false detection because they can't analyze it correctly.

Ideally, you should add launcher.exe, originclient.exe and originpatcher.exe to your antivirus exception list to avoid issues.

The files are 100% safe to use.

Thanks for fast reply.
I understand this protection could cause some problems with virus detection which would answer 1st and 2nd point.
But why origin is trying to access antivirus process (even if those 3 files are added to exceptions)?

The client is not targeting your antivirus. It is searching constantly for bot programs or 3rd party tools used to cheat.

I was also concerned about this issues and thats why I am not playing the private silkroads. However, I really want to play so I want to ask a question.

- What I understood is there is a trojan in the some files but you are saying this trojan is to see that are you opening bot or not. Am I wrong? Isnt there any other option to check our computer without letting us to open a trojan contained folder? Because, I do not know what will you do with that tracker.

The Detection has nothing to to on how the antibot system works. It is only because the files are packed against read and modification, that's all. The antivirus makes a "generic" detection as trojan, but the files are safe to use.
The protection system is no different from other games that apply the same methods, nothing new or weird here.
